Ella Mae Lentz will give a presentation about the Deaf Bilingual Coalition on June 23rd during this conference.
She will also present about the Deafhood Foundation on the same day.
Below is a brief outline of her presentation.
Abstract:
Making waves since its first action during July 2007 protesting at an AGBell Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) conference in Virginia, the Deaf Bilingual Coalition believes, supports, and acts for the birthright of each Deaf child to be bilingual and bicultural with American Sign Language and English. This presentation will discuss DBC’s mission, purposes, actions and plans.
