EHDI Conference 2010: Call for Presentations

http://ehdiconference.org/Presenters.cfm

If you want to know what you can do in 2010 that will make a difference in the life of a Deaf baby or child, this is your answer. Consider attending and presenting at the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Conference to be held on March 1 - 2, 2010 in Chicago. This is your last week to prepare your abstract to the EHDI conference planning committee and submit it by the Nov. 2, deadline. This conference is attended by parents and professionals who are parents' first contacts. It is important to be visible, attend, and present. This is how we all can start to spread awareness on the importance of ASL and English in a Deaf child's life.

CAL-ED 2010 Request for Presentations
Friday, 23 October 2009

I am one of the co-chairs for California Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Conference, March 12-14, 2010. The theme this year is "It Takes A Village," meaning as a team of parents, teachers, advocates, interpreters, aides, etc, we facilitate learning for Deaf Ed. Our goal is to have many workshops targeting each team member... We will have a Parent Tent for parents to attend and ask questions, workshops for Deaf Educational interpreters, Advocates for both the parents and the teachers, DHH teacher fields (itinerant, mainstream, residential schools, etc), etc.

Our focus is to encourage ALL members of the team to come and attend the conference.

I would also ask that you forward our call for proposals to your whole district... We have some extremely talented teachers in the field, and would love to see them present at the conference.
